Cold weather can be tough on your skin and cuticles, and can often form dry spots and crack. Making a homemade cuticle cream is a great way to bring the moisture and health back into your nails. You can also use this cream on your hands, lips, or anywhere you have dry spots.

What You Need:

2 tablespoons shea butter

1 teaspoon beeswax

1 tablespoons Fractionated Coconut Oil

7 drops Lavender or Myrrh essential oil

Directions:

1. In a small glass container, combine shea butter, beeswax, and Fractionated Coconut Oil. Place in saucepan with 1-1.5 inches of boiling water.

2. Stir ingredients until combined (around 5-10 minutes). Note: Use a popsicle stick for easy cleanup.

3. Once melted, remove from heat and let rest for 3 minutes.

4. Add essential oils and stir.

5. Pour into container.

6. Let harden for 2-3 hours and you’re done. To use, just apply a small amount to cuticles and rub until absorbed.

Not all essential oils are created equal, Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oil will prevent maxium benefits. You can get them here: www.mydoterra.com/odettemorris

Try this at home: Compare the smell of dōTERRA's lavender essential oil to another lavender oil or product in your home. If your product's fragrance is overbearing in any one note it may contain synthetic chemical substitutes. A pure therapeutic-grade essential oil should have a balanced, broad fragrance profile and should smell crystal clean. Now, compare the feel of your product to dōTERRA's essential oil. A pure essential oil should not feel slick or oily but rather absorb cleanly and completely into your skin.
