Like so many people, I struggle with maintaining a positive mood during the winter months. The days are shorter and it is bitter cold here on the East Coast. One thing that has helped me stay on track with graduate school, stay on top of my family schedule, and now stay positive is my Erin Condren planner. First, I am a visual person and my planner is so pretty! I am literally drawn to continuing to use it, as crazy as it sounds. Second, I like crafty stuff and I enjoy using different colored pens and washi tape to decorate each week and month. Third, when I get tired of the cover design, I can just swap it out for a new one!!

Since the begininning of 2015, I started making a list for each day and checking off behaviors that promote wellness. I am facing the fact that I need to do a few things each day that will help to lessen my feelings of depression. So far the list is:

Exercise

Reduce Sugar Intake

Drink Enough Water

Journal

Use Essential Oils

Vitamins

I enjoy checking the list off and if I don't do the things on the list, that is okay. I just want to remember that I do have some control with my mood. I might not be about to control the weather, but I can do a few small things each day to take care of myself.

Anyway, I would recommend the Erin Condren planners, I LOVE mine. Check out the site and I included a referral link to get $10 off first purchase!
